Sunday School at Church of the Advent

At the Episcopal Church of the Advent, we believe nurturing faith begins early. Our Sunday School program welcomes children ages 2 and up into a fun, faith-filled environment where they can learn about God's love in engaging and age-appropriate ways.

Weekly Sunday School

  • Time: Sundays at 10:00 AM (August–May)
  • Location: Parish Hall
  • Rejoin Worship: During the Peace, just in time for Eucharist

Our Bible-based curriculum includes interactive lessons, crafts, and conversations that help children grow spiritually while forming lasting connections with peers.

During the summer months, children can also join our Vacation Bible School (VBS), held in partnership with a neighboring Episcopal Church, for more faith-building fun.

Monthly Children’s Homily

Every third Sunday, children are invited to the altar for a special message from the priest. These Children’s Homily Services not only inspire our youngest members but also uplift the entire congregation with their wisdom and joy.

Seasonal Celebrations & Activities

Children also participate in special programs and performances throughout the Liturgical Calendar, including:

  • Christmas Nativity Play
  • Easter Worship Presentation
  • Easter Egg Hunt

These joyful events provide opportunities for spiritual reflection and celebration with our wider church family.

A Safe and Welcoming Environment

Our team of dedicated, Safe Church-certified volunteers works hard to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and supported. We're always looking for joyful hearts to help grow our Children’s & Youth Ministry.
